I find myself becoming more nostalgic as we get further into May. I can’t believe that Boogie will be a year old next month. It seems like we just brought him home from the hospital. I remember being so nervous on the first ride home. Would we be able to handle it?

With the growth spurts and cluster feedings, we quickly got up to speed, and were very appreciative of the fact that Boogie was actually a pretty easygoing child. Sure he’s had his moments when he’s fussy and clingy, but I am well aware that could’ve been a lot worse.

As he gets closer to walking, which will eventually turn into running, I will caution him to slow down, as I’m doing now in my mind. While I can’t wait to see the precocious child that he will grow up to be, I wish that I was able to hang on to the first year for a little while longer.
