Boogie and I ran last minute errands before the snow was expected to start, and enjoyed playing for the rest of our day. It’s expected to snow for the rest of the night and most of tomorrow, so I’m glad he was able to get some fresh air today, as he and hubby will no doubt be hunkered down for tomorrow at least.
Next week will be a frenzy of shopping, appointments and getting things ready for our upcoming trip the following week. I’m a habitual early packer and I heavily rely on my many lists, so I’ll likely have most things together by the end of the week.
I’m looking forward to our first mini vacation as a family, and hope that Boogie will do as well on the plane as he did last time. I purposely booked early flights again, so that he’ll be nice and tired by the time we board the plane. Fingers crossed!
My first Mother’s day will be spent away from home, so I’m planning to do something nice with my mom before we leave town. I’m thinking a nice brunch and a bracelet or pendant that signifies her role as a mother and new grandmother. I’m sure she would really enjoy that.
As for me, I would just like to do a nice dinner with my guys and maybe get some poolside time in. I’ve never been big on very extravagant gifts and honestly prefer things that are from the heart. Hubby says this makes me a terror to shop for, but he’s getting the hang of it.
Mr. Adventurous continues to work on his balance and gets a kick out of letting go of the table for a few seconds before plopping to the ground. Hubby and I have both noticed major improvements in this area, so walking likely won’t be too far off.
No surprise, he wore himself completely out today, and is now sleeping soundly. I’m going to take advantage of the quiet and try to sneak in an episode of Dateline before settling in for the night.
Here’s hoping that things run smoothly this weekend.
I hope you also have a wonderful night and a great weekend.
