Work definitely felt like work today, so that made for quite an interesting morning and early afternoon. I’ve been with the same agency for 9 years, and have been in somewhat the same type of position for the last 4 and a half years. Throughout my time in this position, I have sort of developed a sixth sense about how my work day will turn out.
Before I even leave my house, I have a pretty good idea of what my work day will shape up to be, and 9 times out of 10, I’m usually right. Today was one of those days, and I left work feeling a bit conflicted. Setbacks happen, and you have to learn to roll with the punches.
I’m hoping that the dust will settle during this coming week, and that my client will get back on track. Sometimes things have to get worse in order to get better.
No new updates on the home front. Boogie continues working on his balance by using his push toy, and appears to be less wobbly when standing. He thinks he already possesses the ability to walk and gets a kick out of letting go and briefly standing unassisted before plopping down. I have to admit, it’s pretty adorable.
The bedtime routine was a breeze this evening, and he’s sleeping soundly. Hubby has assignments to work on, so I’m hanging out, trying to hold out until at least 9:30pm before heading to bed. This cool weather makes sleep sound so deliciously sweet, so I’m having an internal battle. I think I’ll make a few notes in Boog’s baby book in order to help pass the time.
Until next time.
