Happy Easter! I hope you had a wonderful day, and were able to enjoy spending time with your loved ones. Today was actually a good day for me, and church really helped to put me in a good headspace. My grandmother was heavily on my mind today, but as I cooked her recipes, I felt her presence, and was comforted in knowing that she is no longer in pain.

I could almost see her face as I cleaned my kitchen while I was cooking; she was always amazed at my ability to have a clean kitchen before serving any meals. There is something about having to tackle a full sink of dishes are eating that absolutely drives me crazy! “Clean as you go” is definitely my motto.

From what hubby tells me, Boogie is getting much better about being relatively quiet during church, and seems to settle down before the sermon begins. Unfortunately, I am not able to attend church as often as I would like, due to working, but I’m grateful that the Mr. and Boogie are able to attend. Faith is such an important aspect of our lives, and I want Boogie to know and trust in God. We have a special book that we read each night that has cute pictures, and helps kiddos to learn that God is ever-present and hears our prayers. It was a baby shower gift, and has honestly been our go-to bedtime book. I know that Boogie is not yet old enough to understand what I’m reading, but I believe I am establishing a good foundation. Today was a special treat for me to be able to take the day off and attend the service. I think that will definitely help to set the tone for my week. I would like to eventually get to the point where I have Sundays off or at least part of the day off to attend church, but I am also mindful that this schedule allows me to remain home during the week with Boogie. I spend time in prayer each day, and I know that God understands that even though I am not in church each week, it has not diminished my relationship with Him.

I seem to have gone off on a tangent about my relationship for God, however I won’t apologize for that. Sometimes, things come out for a reason, even if we don’t understand it. Clearly, some part of me felt compelled to share that with you.

This week consists of appointments, spring cleaning and solidifying our upcoming trip to Arizona, so I’m going to enjoy the rest of this quiet Sunday with my guys. I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening as well.

Here’s to a good week!
